Joshua's First Day of Kindergarten

The long awaited day is here.  I don’t know who was more excited, Joshua or me.  He slept half of the night on my floor, so he wouldn’t sleep too long in the morning.  We practiced walking to school yesterday and saw where the kids lined up. Today he was ready.  I planned to take a bunch of pictures this morning, but he didn’t want to be late.  He told me, “You can take pictures after school, I’ll be wearing the same clothes.”  Ha, ha, this boy cracks me up.  He was walking ahead of me with his best friend Ava, and he didn’t even look back or say goodbye, he just walked right through the gate. He was the first one in line this morning, and the last one out after school.

Here is Olivia anxiously awaiting school to be over.

I can’t believe he’s old enough to be in school!  He had a great day and is excited to go back for more tomorrow.

Fieldtrip to the Fire Station

Today Joshua’s class went on a fieldtrip to the local fire station.  Olivia absolutely loves it when she gets to join his class.  And, as always I forgot the camera, so sorry about the poor quality phone pictures.

They got to walk through the fire truck and the back of the ambulance.

I love that the fireman put on all of his gear and encouraged the kids to come up and walk around and touch him so they weren’t afraid.

Aren’t they a cute little class?

Trying to get a good picture…

We keep trying to get a good picture of all the kids, not very successfully.  So, here are a lot of outtakes.

Sleeping Kiddos

As a mother, I love it when kids are asleep, that quiet moment that rarely seems to happen much these days.  I love the randomness of when and where children fall asleep.  So here are a few pictures I’ve snagged lately of my sweet kids snoozing.

Evan Charles Clegg

This sweet little spirit has joined our family and we couldn’t be happier!

Here is my last shot of my pregnant belly.  I really didn’t feel huge so I was surprised that he was our biggest baby, weighing in at 8 lb. 10 oz. and 21 inches long. Here is a proud Daddy holding his sweet boy.

His very first picture, and meeting his siblings for the first time.

Fieldtrip to the Farm!

Today, Joshua’s preschool class took a fieldtrip to the farm.  Olivia was very excited that she got to go too!  Farmer Luke told them all about being a farmer and growing fruits and vegetables.

Then we got to go on a hayride around the pumpkin patch.

They had a fun little corn maze to explore, and a haystack pyramid to climb.

There was also a corn pit to play in.

The kids loved it!  They each got to bring home a pumpkin of their own.

New Trees and a Trip to the Top of the Mountain…

We had a lovely weekend.  We planned this flower garden around a tree, its just taken us a while to get it.  I love how it turned out, and the kids do too.  The kids were great helpers digging in the hole and hauling away the extra dirt and rock.

We also added a new tree in the park strip.  Now we just need these trees to start growing!

Once we had the trees in, we headed up the mountain to Snowbird to spend the day with the Cleggs.  We rode the tram to the top, something I’ve never done before.  I was absolutely beautiful to be up on top of the peak where you could look down in every direction.  We sent the kids back down with Liz and Karl’s family and JoAnn, Katie, Andrew and I hiked down to the tunnel and took the ski lift down.  I LOVED riding out in the open in the fresh mountain air.  It was a great reminder to me that Heavenly Father has created such a magnificent world for us.
